Elaine is the founder of Bergen Speech Services. She moved to Norway from the USA in 2024 after marrying her husband and is so excited to be working with the international community here!

Elaine is a speech-language pathologist (SLP) who has 5+ years of experience working with both children and adults in educational and medical settings.

Credentials

Her education has been approved by the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills, and she has obtained an insurance agreement with Helfo. ​

• Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders (Kansas State University)

• Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology (University of Nebraska-Lincoln)

• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA)

Areas of Expertise 

Elaine has specialized experience working with children aged 3-18 in the areas of speech sound disorders, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and social skills. She's passionate about working with those who don't fit in the "neat" boxes of culture or language.

Her therapy style is upbeat, client-driven, and deeply rooted in evidence-based practice. She loves to collaborate with other service providers, caregivers, or teachers in order to help her clients thrive across all settings.
